3. Accident & emergency information


ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY INFORMATION

Guidelines for dealing with an injured person

• Stay calm but act swiftly and observe the situation
• Listen to what the injured person is saying
• If the injury is minor, alert the first aider to take appropriate action
• If the injury requires special treatment, call the emergency services
• Deal with the rest of the group (if any) and ensure they are supervised
• Do not move someone with major injury; wait for the emergency services
• Contact the injured person’s next of kin / parent
• Report the incident / accident

Location of first aid equipment

First aid equipment (including a defibrillator) is stored on the external changing room wall to the left of the entrance to the ladies' changing room.

Reporting of accidents

Details of any accident should be reported immediately to the Club by emailing accident@reigateltc.org.uk including the following details:

• name of person affected
• name of person reporting the injury (if different)
• date, time and location of accident
• description of accident and injury (if applicable)
