Reigate Lawn Tennis Club was founded in 1906 and has seen much action and excitement over the years at Manor Road. Long gone are the days when a horse was employed to pull the roller over the courts and keep the surrounding grass down! However, we continue to maintain high-quality courts and are a busy, friendly volunteer-led club still located on Manor Road near Reigate town centre.

We have 8 all-weather flood-lit courts (5 artificial clay and 3 poraflex) as well as a dedicated “Kidzone” with mini red and orange courts and a practice wall. We offer a robust coaching programme for adult and junior members through Reigate Tennis Academy as well as provide numerous opportunities each week for social and group play. Monday evenings ‘Brush Up Your Tennis’ is a popular session put on by the club regularly and includes free coaching, drills and match play practice. There is also a ball machine available for a small annual surcharge.

We have a members' clubhouse with table tennis, a popular bar with catering provided by Mudford’s Bar and Grill, changing rooms with showers, and a fitness studio where members can take classes with Ergo Fitness (class fees apply). We have a small car park on site, and there is also parking on the road outside.

We run organised tennis sessions 6 days a week, together with regular half-day or one day events, and these usually end in the clubhouse with food and drink, whether it is daytime coffee and biscuits, or evening beer, wine and suppers. Our sessions are organised by volunteer members, so we are always open to laying on new sessions if an organiser steps forward and court usage allows.

Our Junior tennis program includes free of charge group coaching on Friday evenings for under 15s (Monday evenings for older juniors, with adults), and membership includes match fees, league entry fees as well as discounts on summer camps. For an additional fee, group coaching is available to juniors via Reigate Tennis Academy and is charged at £39 per month for 1 hour per week. Private coaching is also available with rates dependent on the coach’s level of qualification.

On the competitive side, we have over 20 adult teams playing in leagues ranging from local social leagues such as the Dorking and Leatherhead to Team Tennis National Level. Adult membership includes all match fees and league entry fees for team players (except LMT – Ladies Midweek Tennis) and dedicated match practices. We host two club tournaments a year (1 standard knockout, 1 handicap).

Coaching is available to our members, for an extra fee, via Reigate Tennis Academy. Private lessons cost £30 to £50 per hour, depending upon the coach’s qualification level, while group cardio sessions cost £10 for 90 minutes.
